New York: circa 1910. Broadside. 11" x 8-1/2" (28 x 22 cm). Age toned letter from Men's League regarding a pageant and ball that will take place at the 71st Regiment Armory. The letter is soliciting help in putting on this event and appealing to every suffragist who understands the significance of the Men's League doing a really big thing for votes for women. It is signed by R.C. Beadle, the secretary. It has very faint crease lines. The Men's League for Woman Suffrage began in 1910, and similar groups sprang up in other U.S. cities. George Foster Peabody, a renowned social activist, was the first president. Max Eastman was one of the founders and was a vice-president. Very good. Item #1149
