Tom Hayden 1939-2016 was an anti-war and civil rights activist and was one of the Chicago 7. He served in the California state assembly from 1982-1992 and in the California senate from 1992-2000. He was married to Jane Fonda to 1973-1990 and is the father of her son, actor Troy Garity.

Elaine Noble, born 1944, was the first openly lesbian or gay candidate elected to a state legislature. She served two terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Fine. Item #1161
