Runaway (Limited Edition)
New York: George H. Durand Co., 1925. Limited Edition. Cloth with 1/4 vellum. Orange cloth with 1/4 vellum, plus vellum on corners. Brown paper label on spine with gilt lettering. Spine has some discoloration, and two inch long closed tear that runs from the top to the title label. Tipped in sheet signed by the author, stating this is number 248 of a limited edition of 250 numbered copies signed by the author. Gilt page edge at top and deckled edges.
Slip case has discoloration and a small tear at the bottom. Still sturdy. 304 pp.
Floyd Dell was an American Communist and a one time lover of Edna St. Vincent Millay. As editor of left-wing magazine, The Masses, Dell was twice put on trial for publishing subversive literature. Very good. Item #1492
